ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Statistics Poland undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The following accessibility statement applies to the website https://transmor.stat.gov.pl/.

Date of website publication: 01/04/2022.

Date of the last significant update: 28/03/2024.

The website is partially compliant with the Act of April 4, 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the inconsistencies listed below:

  • some PDF files are not accessible digitally (they do not have a well-marked logical structure or they are scans of documents),
  • some published infographics do not have an alternative description or the descriptions are constructed incorrectly,
  • there are links whose title is the same as the link content, links are not visually highlighted on some pages, there are empty links,
  • some fields in the forms are not correctly and clearly labelled,
  • the website contains tables presenting data without titles and summaries,
  • some tables presenting data do not have correctly defined headers connected to the data,
  • some elements on the website are not accessible using the keyboard and there is no alternative available,
  • keyboard navigation on some subpages is not in a logical order in relation to the page content,
  • headings on some pages are not assigned to the appropriate elements and in the correct order, there are empty headings
  • for some page elements, the text contrast in relation to the background is not at least 4.5:1, but the page has alternative contrast versions,
  • there is no "skip link" on the website,

The statement was prepared on 28 March 2024. The declaration was prepared on the basis of a self-assessment carried out by the public entity.

Everyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or any of their elements as well as can also request information to be made accessible using an alternative access method, for example by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of the video without audio description, etc. The request should contain the details of the person submitting the request, indicate which website or mobile application it concerns and the method of contact. If the requesting person reports the need to receive information by means of an alternative method of access, he/she should also specify a convenient way of presenting this information.

The public entity should execute the request immediately, not later than within 7 days from the date of submitting the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform the person making the request when it will be possible to fulfil the request, and the deadline may not be longer than 2 months from the date of submitting the request. If digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing the information.

If the public entity refuses to comply with the request to ensure the accessibility or an alternative method of access to information, the person submitting the request may submit a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or an element of the website or mobile application.

After exhausting the above-mentioned procedure, a claim to the Ombudsman can be also submitted.

Architectural accessibility

Building: Statistics Poland, Aleja Niepodległości 208, 00-925 Warsaw

There is one main entrance to the building from Aleja Niepodległości 208. The building consists of seven floors and four wings marked A, B, C, D on each floor.

There are no stairs to enter the main hall from the outside.

The reception desk is straight ahead and to the left of the main entrance. Further passage is secured with gates.

The building of Statistics Poland is to a large extent adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. The stairs in the main hall (block C) are equipped with platforms for transporting the wheelchair, inside the building appropriate width of communication routes is provided. The lifts are equipped with voice information and signs for the blind. Block D of Statistics Poland building, where the Central Statistical Library is located, is adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities, i.e. it has entrance door of adequate width, a staircase, a platform for wheelchair users; the reading room has anti-slip flooring, and the toilets are adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. There are 6 toilets in the building adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Toilets for persons with disabilities are located on the ground floor of the main hall, to the right of the entrance, and four on individual floors (floors I, III, V and VI).

There are 7 parking spaces for persons with disabilities in front of the building.

There are no induction loops in the building of Statistics Poland.

There are no Braille markings in the building, no contrast or enlarged print markings for the blind and partially sighted.
